Flights to Paris

Paris has two major airports, Paris-Charles de Gaulle International (CDG) and Paris Orly (ORY). CDG is one of Europe’s largest travel hubs, located 23 km (14 mi) northeast of Paris, with 105 airlines operating out of it. ORLY is the city’s secondary hub located 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Paris, typically used by inter-Europe travelers.

International Visitors

• Visas: If you plan to visit France for under 3 months for tourism without engaging in any professional activity during your stay, check whether your nationality requires a visa. You must then apply for a short-stay visa (uniform Schengen visa or national visa depending on your destination i.e. in France's European or non-European territory). 
• Currency: The national currency of France is the Euro €. It is recommended to have 100-200€ cash on hand, even if you plan to primarily use a credit card. Travelex kiosks are at the airports for currency exchange and ATMs are widely available. While Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted, Discover or American Express cards may not be usable. 
• Health: Don’t forget to buy comprehensive travel insurance before you depart for France, as emergency medical treatment can be expensive.
• In an Emergency: Dial 112 for police, fire, & ambulance. 
• Power Sockets: France utilizes C or E/F type plugs. 
• The quickest way to navigate Paris is by using the metro, which comprises 14 numbered lines, and the RER, consisting of 5 main lines. It is recommended to use a Navigo Easy card for Paris public transportation systems. The bus system is easy to use and widely accessible. Paris taxis and rideshares can be expensive but are available throughout the city. For transportation from the airport to the city, it is best to utilize the RER.  

How to Get to Accor Arena

Due to the ideal central location, walking to Accor Arena will be the best option for those staying in Paris. Public transportation is recommended for getting to Accor Arena, although there are two parking options nearby. The following transit lines have routes that pass near Accor Arena: RER – A, Metro – 6 and 14, and Bus 24 and 87.

Explore Museums

There are over 130 museums in Paris, offering no shortage of places to explore and things to see! You can visit one of the most renowned museums in the world – the Louvre. Or take in all of Picasso’s pieces at the Musée Picasso. Or view the must-see collection of works at the Musée d’Orsay, located right on the Seine River.

From the Eiffel Tower to the Arc de Triomphe to the Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris is home to some of the most iconic structures in the world, and that’s only scratching the surface!
