NBA All-Star 2024: Recap

The 73rd NBA All-Star took over Indianapolis, February 16-18 for a weekend full of basketball greatness, NBA Legends, athletic feats and memories that will last a lifetime. NBA Experiences was proud to be a part of such an exciting event and take fans where they have never gone before. Check out how we went beyond the court at NBA All-Star 2024.

Friday, February 16

The day started on the court of Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the host team, the Indiana Pacers. Legendary Kings point guard Mitch Richmond led guests through warmups, drills and different plays during an unforgettable morning shootaround.

After our shootaround, guests got a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of an NBA Arena, and what it takes to put on an event like NBA All-Star. This tour was navigated through press conference rooms, locker rooms, courtside entrances and more for insiders into the league.

In the afternoon we laced up our sneakers once again for another shootaround on the Pacers practice court with none other than Boston Celtics shooting guard, Jaylen Brown. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will be one we never forget as he led guests through all his favorite drills and plays and then ended the session with a classic game of knockout.

We then made our way to the exclusive NBA Champions Club to refuel for an exciting afternoon of playing games, delicious food and drinks and a meet-and-greet with an NBA Legend.

Grammy-award-winning artists T-Pain and Zedd pumped up the fans with an exclusive concert before the night’s games tipped off.

Guests with NBA EXP Lounge access found themselves inside an exclusive space right inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse before the NBA Rising Stars Game for a pre-game hospitality experience like no other that featured unique activations and an appearance by Indiana Pacers Legend Rik Smits.

The exciting day concluded with two games for fans to enjoy, the NBA Rising Stars Game and the NBA Celebrity Game. Team Shannon took home the W over Team Stephen A. in the NBA Celebrity Game; Team Jalen beat Team Detlef in the finals of the Rising Stars Challenge.

After the NBA Rising Stars Game, guests stepped onto the court for a photo opportunity with Golden State Warriors Legend Tim Hardaway Sr.

Saturday, February 17

Saturday started on the court again! We joined hometown hero Rik Smits for a morning of hoops, wisdom and fun.

The best and only way to experience breakfast on the Saturday of NBA All-Star is with an NBA Mascot Breakfast. NBA Mascots from coast to coast joined guests for an unforgettable Mascot Breakfast that was full of mischief, silliness and of course, delicious food.

This year’s Lunch with a Legend was truly one for the books. NBA Legends Julius Erving and Oscar Robertson joined moderator Ahmad Rashad on stage for an intimate Q&A session so guests could get an inside look into the life of a pro.

BA Champions Club opened once again for guests to spend the afternoon and evening getting the VIP treatment in Indy. Joined by NBA Legend Mitch Richmond, it was THE place to be.

Before the night’s events tipped off, country artists Walker Hayes and Keith Urban took the stage for an exciting, exclusive concert.

Time to head to Lucas Oil Stadium! Our in-stadium premium hospitality was the perfect place to be before tip-off with fantastic food and drinks and an exclusive meet and greet with Mitch Richmond.

NBA All-Star Saturday Night tipped off inside the iconic Lucas Oil Stadium and premiered the state-of-the-art full video LED court to enhance the fan experience in-arena and on broadcast through its interactive displays. Team Pacers won the Kia Skills Challenge, Damian Lillard took home a back-to-back 3-Point Contest win, as did Mac McClung in the Dunk Contest and two of the best 3-point shooters in the world battled it out for a one-of-a-kind 3-Point shooting competition between WNBA Star Sabrina Ionescu and NBA Star Steph Curry.

Fans were able to join Indiana Pacers Legend Detlef Schrempf for a once-in-a-lifetime photo on the new LED court after the game had ended.

Sunday, February 18

You can’t start a Sunday off without brunch! NBA Experiences guests joined some of the game's greats at the 24th Annual Legends Brunch.

Hometown Hero Jeff Teague and Mitch Richmond made appearances at NBA Champions Club for an exclusive meet and greets with fans.

Lil Wayne took over the stage for a pre-game concert like no other.

Inside the NBA EXP Lounge, the premium pre-game experience continued with top-tier hospitality, fun and games, and an appearance by Tim Hardaway Sr.

The 73rd NBA All-Star Game was a thrilling ride from start to finish, with the best in the league taking to the court and giving it everything they have. In the end, the Eastern Conference beat the Western Conference 211-186 and Damian Lillard took another piece of hardware home, the NBA All-Star MVP trophy.

We had our final photo opportunity to step onto the Gainbridge Fieldhouse court with an NBA Legend for what was a truly special picture.

And the fun didn’t end after the final whistle, the exclusive NBA Experiences After Party kept the excitement going all night long!
